Somatic Healing Circle

What to expect . . . To make the most of this experience, please

  • commit to attending every week.
  • approach this journey with openness and curiosity.
  • purchase a journal to record thoughts, questions, reflections, awakenings and intentions.
  • practice compassionate listening and heartfelt presence with yourself and the group.
  • arrive 10 minutes early, so you have time to settle in and start on time.
  • if you are currently enrolled in therapy, let your therapist know about your participation and experiences during this process.
  • reach out to the facilitator at any time with questions, thoughts or concerns.

Structure:

10-10:15 Complex Trauma Healing Education

10:15-11:10 Trauma-informed Yoga & iRest meditation

11:10-11:30 Reflective Journaling & Optional Sharing

Schedule:

Wednesdays, 10-11:30 AM

September 4 - October 9, 2024

What will be provided: Water, tea Mats, blankets, bolsters, blocks, chairs, eye pillows

What to bring:

Journal

Any additional comforts (blanket, pillow) for sitting or lying down during meditation

ONGOING SUPPORT

Throughout your engagement with the process, you will receive support from the facilitator between sessions via email and/or text, whichever you prefer.

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

Your participation and what you choose to share will be held in the utmost confidence by the facilitator. All information that is shared in sessions is kept private, with the exception of concern regarding imminent harm to you or someone else. This is further explained in the Informed Consent forms.Participants will be asked to maintain the same level of confidentiality for one another. Sharing during discussions will always be optional, not required, and participants will be encouraged to share only what is appropriate and relevant to the topic and purpose of the session.

THERAPY

While this series will offer therapeutic techniques that have been shown to help improve symptoms of mental health conditions, it is not a substitute for therapy. All participants are encouraged to maintain engagement and open communication with a therapist who can support them through the process of trauma healing. For anyone in need of additional support, appropriate referrals will be provided.

  • Contact me to set up a free connection call to discuss your needs, determine if this series could be helpful and appropriate for you, and address any questions you may have.
  • Registration may be completed in person or online.
  • Register by August 28.
