Community Rest for Peace

Guided Community Meditation

Gather with members of the Eastern Shore community for a morning of nourishing rest and heartfelt connection.

Peace begins within ourselves and flows out to our chosen families, communities and beyond.

Together, we will

  • Address the importance of genuine rest to the process of cultivating peace and change in times of social unrest.
  • Release accumulated tensions from the body and ease into a state of peaceful connection with gentle, intuitive movements (optional).
  • Rest while experiencing a nourishing, guided meditation called iRest® Yoga Nidra led by Jessica Hagy, Certified iRest Meditation Teacher.
  • Hold space for sharing our heartfelt callings and visions for peace.

3rd Saturdays from 9:30-11:30am

Facilitator:

Jessica Hagy, LCSW-C, Certified iRest® Meditation Teacher

Pay what you can: $25 | $50 | $75  USD

Please reflect on what you are able to pay and choose the best fit for you. If you have the means, please consider supporting someone who does not at this time. Recommended options are as follows:

  1. Community Supporter – $75 USD (supports your peers)
  2. Sustainer – $50 USD (covers your enrollment) 
  3. Supported – $25 USD (supported by your peers)

Payments may be made online or by cash, check or credit card in person.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Additional information:

iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation is typically practiced while lying down or comfortably seated, so the body can ease into a state of deep rest. No movement, special position or prior experience is required.

All bodies are welcome.

Wear comfortable clothing. Chairs, yoga mats and blankets are provided. Bring your own if you’d like. Feel free to bring a pillow, journal & an open mind.
